FIFTY SHADES OF PINK

'Fifty Shades of Grey' seems to have taken over the world. I think I may be the one and only person who has not read this book. Literally every single one of my friends has read this book or books. I cannot believe what an impact a fictional read can be on society. Even a hotel has replaced all its rooms' bibles with 'Fifty Shades of Grey'. Yes I am sure those bibles do not usually get read, but is this book that amazing it has to take over a hotels inventory? I have nothing against 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and maybe one day I will read it but right now I look at it as a book full of things, that in real life, would never happen. It just paints another picture of some rich beautiful man who controls a niave young girl. What sets it apart is the unfiltered language and scenarios that we as women aren't used to reading about...
Well E.L. James sure captured the minds of women across the Nation. This book is truly a phenomenon and hopefully one day I can pick it up and I too will be hooked and maybe understand a little more what all the hoopla is about. I am sure my opinion will be different then, as for now I will look forward to when the movie comes to life!

Eat, Pray, Love

What a crazy last few months! I just got back from Europe and OMG what a fantastic ride... We went back to France but this time instead of staying in the city of Paris we stayed just outside the city in Chatou, a quaint beautiful neighborhood. We did a lot of sight seeing and walking tours and revisited some of our favorite places. The we went to Istanbul, Turkiye for a few days and all I can say is this is one of the most unique places I have ever been. The history, architecture, Mosque, food, culture, textiles, bakeries, spice bazarrs, boats... I could go on and on. We had a blast in Turkiye waking up early and going all day until the wee hours of the night trying not to miss a beat. I am so grateful and blessed to have had the opportunity to see such a unique country. I can't even wrap my mind around how old this place is and the museums, palaces, mosque, all built hundreds and hundreds  of years ago... I can say that when our time was up in Europe I was quite saddened to come back to the states. There is so much out there and people always say this is a small world but really.... It's bigger than I can grasp. How can so many people not have a clue about other countries, cultures, religions, languages, taste and so on? I can say I know I will revisit Turkiye again I just know it. Some day some how....

WHATS THE DEALIO

Hello Bloggers,

It's been quite a while since I have posted a blog. I guess life has happened and I haven't taken the time to write too many blogs. A lot has happened in the past few months.. I became the business manager and makeup artist for Smashbox Cosmetics... what a fun ride that was. I learned a lot... I learned the ins and outs of numbers, goals, sales, artistry, direction, ordering, commanding, mingling, regulars, etc... What I learned about myself is that I can take control and step up. This was a rewarding job yet it took it's toll. There was a lot of pressure, I would sleep, eat, and breathe numbers and goals and events and so on. I never had a weekend off and was just completely drained... I ended up leaving this exciting company and am now working for Weight and Body Solutions. Something that is right up my alley... so far so good :) I am looking forward to a fun exciting year coming up... Lots and lots of plans. I'll keep ya posted. Tootles.
Here are some photos from the past few months.. enjoy!
